Neptune Beach homes were not stamped out by a production builder. The bungalows and cottages between Atlantic Boulevard and the ocean carry decades of additions, remodels, and quirks, which means window openings that are rarely square and never standard. Off-the-shelf treatments betray that instantly: gaps at the edges, light leaks, crooked reveals.

This is where a local workshop earns its keep. I template each opening and build to it, so the finished shutter or shade sits true even when the framing isn't. It is the difference between covering a window and finishing one.
